I saved a final favorite pumpkin recipe for the last day of October. It’s my sister, Mary’s pumpkin cake that is delicious partly because it has chocolate in it. I kept trying to get out the ingredients and get started, but sometimes life interferes. Here’s what happened – first of all we were late getting our pumpkin carved. It was supposed to be an owl, but almost everybody asked what it was in a polite yet confused way, so I guess we didn’t win any prizes. The other thing that happened was that a lot of adorable children who thought they were scary came to my door demanding candy. A few decked out parents appeared as well. Instead of a recipe, I have some great photos to share, and a promise to give you the pumpkin cake recipe Thursday morning. I’m making it Wednesday for my knitting group. They’ll love it.
