Sallie’s Kitchen Corner will be taking a little time off to mourn the loss of my son’s lifelong best friend and roommate, Daniel Rochester. Daniel has been a part of our family for 20 years. Many of my recipes have been created for Richard and Daniel, some even by them. I loved cooking for Daniel. When we are able to get back in the kitchen we will cook Daniel’s favorite foods like Taco Pizza, Mexican Pie, and Candlelight Bean Soup. Our family will always miss Daniel and at the same time rejoice and celebrate the time we were blessed to share together.
My son writes, “Love your friends and every second you get to spend with them because there won't always be as many seconds as you hope there will be. There is nothing more valuable than good friends.”
